2. Grind the Cannabis

- Prepare the filter
If you’re using a filter or crutch, prepare it by rolling it into a cylinder shape. Place it at one end of the rolling paper. Keep in mind that rolling a joint is possible without a filter, but especially for those perfecting their roll, it can come in handy.
- Fill the rolling paper
Holding the rolling paper with the adhesive side facing up, evenly distribute the ground cannabis along the paper. Spread the ground flower across the inside of the paper from one end to the other.
- Form the Shape of the Joint
Use your fingers to roll and shape the cannabis into a cylinder within the rolling paper. Give it a little squeeze to keep the flower in form before you start rolling. If you’re using a filter, make sure to hold it at one end of the paper and leave a bit of space at the other end to seal the joint.
- Roll the joint
Starting from the end with the cannabis, roll the paper between your fingers, tucking the cannabis into a cylindrical shape. Lick the adhesive edge and seal the joint.
- Pack and shape
Once you’ve rolled the joint, use a small tool or poker to push in any loose flower. This helps to shape and pack the flower tightly within the paper. Remember, a balanced and tightly packed joint helps with a more even burn.
- Twist & Light Up!
If there’s excess paper at the top end of the joint, give it a twist to create a sealed tip. Finally, grab your lighter, spark up the top tip of the joint, and enjoy!
